Renowned as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made, Seven Samurai is set in 16th century Japan where bandits roam the countryside, ransacking farmers villages and killing or kidnapping their inhabitants.

Akira Kurosawa’s masterpiece is not only action and adventure but also pure drama with many comedic moments. Asakazu Nakai’s cinematography is top notch, as is the acting by the cast which includes Toshirō Mifune, Kambei Shimada and Katsushirō Okamoto.
