Three years before massive hit The Matrix (1999), the Wachowskis* made their debut on the silver screen with this excellent erotically-charged neo-noir crime thriller. Mixing suspense and passion perfectly, Bound quickly became a cult classic.
The chemistry between the leading actors is scintillating. Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon and Joe Pantoliano act with aplomb.
Bound has it all: drama, suspense, sex, crime and violence. Just what you need to unwind on a Friday night after the working week is done.
Don’t watch this one with the kids!

* Writer/director siblings the Wachowskis are no longer known as “The Wachowski Brothers”. Larry Wachowski undertook gender reassignment surgery in 2008 and is now known as Lana Wachowski.

This was an intense movie, didn’t realize it was made by The Wachowski Brothers.
Great movie. It got kind of forgotten about through time, but definitely worth checking out.
In fact, screw the Matrix trilogy…”Bound” is the Wachowski siblings’ best film. And it’s seriously sexy! Gina Gershon is impossibly alluring. ML
Might just add this to my list…
I really liked this one. Tilly and Gina were fabulous! By the way, I’ll get that shout out to your book up soon 😉
Also, another good crime thriller from around this time was Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead: Amazing!!!
This post is incredible.Nice share and keep on with good work.Alex,Thanks.
Yes! I liked it so much this movie! I would like watch it again. Thank you. Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Thank you for the like of my post “Flower Fireworks” and deciding to follow me.
Great movie
You have picked a personal favourite here. The frisson between the leading ladies is sparky and realistic, and Joe Pantoliano gives a performance of great sleaze. This is little known (in the UK at least) and should be in everyone’s top ten. Get the uncut DVD though! Regards from Norfolk. Pete.
